You're right: some are unconventional. But I like them.
I really hope neither Bill nor Charlie dies because I like them a lot. And I don't want Snape to go either. Dumbledore would be ok, except we'd probably have way too much Harry angst as a result ("Everyone who is nice to me dies, blah, blah, blah.") Aunt Petunia would actually be a very interesting development I think because of developments with the character in the last book.
I'm with you that at some point Harry and Draco are going to have to get along to a degree. It will be interesting to see develop if JK takes it in that direction.
