Chillin' on a Sunday evenin'
Aug. 22nd, 2004 11:05 pmNo storm. Weather kinda cool, actually. I got the fan on, the radio on (I'll soon put on some mp3s, so it's gonna be adios, Usher)
Just kinda chill.
Anyways, the crap du jour this weekend is AvP, a movie that dares to answer the question: "Is Catwoman the low point of moviemaking in 2004?" Just remember, folk, someone out there is greenlighting the next Mistie Mundae (or Mundane). Dunno, don't care.
AvP seems to be inspiring slash in the mind of the lovely and gracious anonymous_sibyl. Predator lurve, baby!
As usual, have way too much DVDs to look at, but managed to watch a good bit of Season 1 of In Living Color. Edgy comedy, and the birthplace of a lot of big sitcom and movie stars, up to and including anyone named Wayans, Jamie Foxx (now getting his props as a great actor), James Carrey, a skinny Kim Coles and some other. A lot of sketches here have inspired things that have turned up in Chappelle's Show (apart from the presence of Mr. Paul Mooney), and I may have found the pumpkin-vine ancestor of the Niggar family sketch in the Buttmans. :)
Work... is. Shit hit the fan last week, via a news report in the papers. The company president has not shown any signs of testicular growth, so no meeting with the employees.
Just kinda chill.
