( Football celebration under the cut )
The first article about the win.

The sun has FINALLY come out after three straight days of rain and flooding.
http://www.triniscene.com is happy. http://www.socawarriors.net/ is happy.
There will be lots of drinking and music in POS this evening. Like it done start already.
And we won.
This does not change the price of bread, or the real problems that Trinidad and Tobago faces.
Never underestimate the ability of sport to lift people, though.
Thirty years since Haiti and the four goals disallowed. That year, Haiti went through.
Fifteen years since November 19th and the freak Caliguri goal. That year, it was the USA.
Third time lucky. We’ll be in Germany next year.
1-0. We needed a win, and we got it. Not a totally clean win, and I expect that there will be protests against the referee.
but….
but…
but…

One last one.

And now I'm hearing on radio that the team is barricaded in their locker room because the opposition is stoning the outside.
More match aftermath
Nov. 16th, 2005 09:28 pmPeople now making less noise. People still noisemaking and blowing car horns, dancing on cars, dancing in the road, waving flags (red, black and white, if you please)...
Steelband side pass. I feel is Exodus. Hear a rhythm section gone up the road there. Percussion!
And probably a tassa group too.
Music and celebration. Think Carnival. Think Fat Tuesday in NOLA.
Sweet.
I need a celebration icon. Cap Veggies is for whimsy.
