The Boy endures...
Apr. 10th, 2005 05:21 pmQuick sports note.
The Boy. Hasn't played Test cricket since the middle of last year. Got dropped from the captaincy AND the team because he had the temerity to stick up for people's right to sign individual endorsement deals with whoever he wanted. Didn't play in the first Test.
Gets picked for the second Test. Not as the captain, though.
Scores 196. And incidentally, is now the leading West Indian batsman in terms of Test hundreds. Has scored over 10,000 runs in Test cricket. Plus the two records, plus the taking backj of his old record. Plus being the first captain since Clive Lloyd to win an international one-day tournament with ALL the test playing countries.
What else will you do, Brian?
